Need of reservation of train for Eurail pass ?

If I travel with a Eurail Pass then do I need to make seat reservation for train?

montycosta 		See, generally there are three types of train—

>>Regional and local train which generally not require any reservation.
>>There are some trains which is optional in the term of reservation. For just assurance of seat you can make a reservation.
>>Some trains with the obligatory reservation. This is for the high speed trains like Thalys and for overnight trains.

First check your online time table to decide whether you need to make reservation or not. There is an indication on requirements of reservation with a ‘R’ symbol or with the sentences like ‘Subject to compulsory reservation.
